St. John The Baptist National School
St John the Baptist National School is a co-educational primary school under the Patronage of the Church of Ireland. We are located in the town of Midleton in East Cork.
We currently have 215 pupils and a staff of twenty five including, an administrative principal, eight class teachers, special education teachers, special needs assistants and ancillary staff.
St John the Baptist NS moto “Together, to Learn and Achieve” encompasses the values we strive to uphold in the school where we endeavour to ensure that all children reach their full potential in an inclusive and respectful environment.
We strive to foster strong links with the local community.
Regular visits from Dean Green for assemblies, along with services held in St John the Baptist Church celebrating the New School Year, Harvest, Christmas, and the End of Year.
We welcome coaches from Midleton GAA during school to share their skills with the junior classes. Our close location to Midleton library makes it very accessible to visit when they have authors visiting. The school also involves itself in many local initiatives to support the local community.
We value our professional and experienced staff members and offer them every opportunity to continue their professional development. They deliver the National Curriculum to a very high standard catering to the abilities of all children. Initiatives such as Literacy Lift Off and Mata sa Rang are used to support the curriculum.
St. John the Baptist National School endeavours at all times to be in the forefront of the highest standards of primary education and believes that it has achieved that aim over the course of many years.
